Estancia Damfield's Splash Park represents the natural evolution of sports complexes toward comprehensive recreational spaces. Located in Funes, within a property geared toward sports and social life, this water park was conceived as a strategic complement for the summer season.
Unlike a traditional slide park, the splash format prioritizes interactive surface play: structures with sprinklers, tipping buckets, water arches, and dynamic modules that generate constant movement without the need for great heights. Water becomes an active element inviting people to move around, explore, and stay.
The design responds to three clear objectives:
- Integrate into the existing setting without disrupting the complex's logic.
- Generate strong visual appeal and family draw.
- Offer a safe, easy-to-operate experience.
The open layout allows for simultaneous use, smooth rotation, and simple supervision — key factors for spaces with high seasonal traffic. This type of installation also increases visitor dwell time and broadens the target audience's age range, bringing in children and families who previously found no specific offering within the property.
The Splash Park doesn't work as an isolated add-on. It works as an experience driver within the Damfield ecosystem. It reinforces identity, boosts the season, and transforms a sports complex into a summer destination.
When water is designed with intention, it doesn't just refresh. It organizes the space, draws people in, and builds community.
