Plaza San Martín

In the heart of General Roca, the new play intervention at Plaza San Martín pays tribute to the region's most representative symbol: the apple.

The proposal consists of two main structures — the Giant Apple and the Apple Tree — inviting kids to play, explore, and connect with the city's fruit-growing identity.

A square that celebrates General Roca's fruit-growing identity.

The Giant Apple offers multiple ways to get in: a staircase, a side opening, or a net bed. Inside, kids can discover a memory panel and choose between the loop slide or the curved slide to come down.

The Apple Tree, meanwhile, playfully recreates the spirit of local farming. It has three entry ramps and a loop slide to come down. Hidden within the play structure are a memory panel and an emotions panel that spark curiosity and learning through play.

This square combines design, creativity, and a sense of belonging, transforming the public space into a meeting place that celebrates the city's productive and cultural history.
