The square is located in Comuna 14 of the city of Buenos Aires. This comuna covers the Palermo neighborhood and is home to the largest Armenian community in Latin America, with more than 80,000 migrants and their descendants living in the area. This square pays tribute to the migration to our land in search of peace and a prosperous future. The project was co-created with the comuna's design team and turns the square into a sea-and-land environment. The sea area is defined by a boat-shaped play tower, mounds that simulate waves, sailboat balance platforms, a swing frame, and spinning tops. It also features a calm, restful area for early childhood with slides, sandboxes, and chalkboards. The land area evokes the characteristics of their arrival. Highlights in this section include a hut-shaped play tower, a forest of poles, slides, climbing structures, and a swing frame for early childhood, along with a rest area. Both spaces are connected by a bridge linking the two play areas, evoking the immigrants' journey down to the continent.
