A play structure that navigates identity and community connection.

The intervention at Parque de los 100 Años incorporates the Little Blue Boat, a themed play structure designed to enrich the play experience and support the growth of this park as a meeting point for residents of the city of Río Grande.

Inspired by elements that are part of the local history and identity, the play structure offers an experience combining exploration, imagination, and movement. Its design invites kids to climb, move around, and slide, promoting shared play and outdoor enjoyment in a safe, accessible setting.

The addition of this new equipment expands the park's recreational options, strengthening its role as an active, inclusive public space designed for everyday use. The result is a project that not only adds play, but also reinforces a sense of belonging and the symbolic value of the urban space for the whole community.
