A play space that invites you to dream

In 2023, the square's play area was renovated as part of the renewal of Rosario's most iconic public spaces. The large play structure called "Hormiguero" (Anthill) was added, inviting kids to climb and work their way up through the different levels to reach the top.

The anthill concept refers to the structure and social organization of ants, as well as the physical environment where they live and carry out their activities. It's a clear example of cooperation and collective interaction, an idea we sought to convey through this project.

Access to the anthill is universal for children and adults alike. Inside the structure you'll find various play elements: a communicator, a lookout point, memory panels, a cage, climbing nets, and climbing holds. From the 7-meter-high structure, its lookout points and spyglasses offer a panoramic view of the surroundings, including the historic fountain at the center of Buratovich, the basketball court, and the area's natural details — trees, birds, and its historic architecture.
