The renovation of Plaza Lavalle's play area was a response to the deteriorating condition of the playground in one of Buenos Aires's most iconic squares. Its proximity to the Teatro Colón and its leading role in the 1890 Revolución del Parque make it a space charged with historical identity. In this context, the project's premise was to create a play tower that would recover part of that past: a playful reinterpretation of the Palacio Miró, an iconic building that once stood on that very spot until its demolition in 1937.

The commemorative play tower combines architectural design and functionality, letting children and neighbors connect with this piece of urban history through play. Its structure brings together elements evoking the original palace's formal language, integrated into a safe, accessible, and stimulating structure designed for multiple ways of climbing, moving through, and sliding.

The development of the Palacio Miró also opened the door to new proposals within the same conceptual line: a collection of architectural play towers recreating typologies like cathedrals, castles, or mansions, each with its own character but sharing the structural and aesthetic logic of the original project. In this way, Plaza Lavalle not only recovers a chapter of its own history but also gives rise to a family of play structures that celebrate architecture and heritage through the world of play.
