The intervention at Plaza Malaver takes the school universe as its conceptual axis, reinterpreted through play to support development, imagination, and interaction among children of different ages. The project organizes the space into complementary areas, connected to each other to encourage movement and collective play.
The set is highlighted by a Mafalda play tower, specially adapted with a connecting bridge linking both play areas, encouraging circulation, physical challenge, and interaction among users. A school bus is also incorporated as a themed play piece, boosting symbolic play and ownership of the space.
The proposal is rounded out with a large multi-seat swing frame, spinners, spring balance elements, mounds, and challenge stations, offering multiple play possibilities and different difficulty levels.
Special attention was also given to the space's accessibility and safety. The playground includes usage pictograms that make activities easier to understand and promote inclusive play, along with continuous safety flooring across its entire surface. This combination of design, theme, and safety measures creates a stimulating environment that supports physical, cognitive, and social development, turning the school into a space to learn through play as well.
